advice to myself

A growing list of advice I would have given my past self. Not in any particular order, except the first one.

  1. Be kind. Always.

  2. Be careful who you take advice from.

  3. Even if you're "not good at it", take maths to at least real analysis. It changes how you think about the world.

  4. Watch Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen). Wear sunscreen.

  5. Master ice climbing. It is the final frontier in navigating all terrain. And after it, everything in life feels like a walk in the park.

  6. Don't rely on Big Granola. Make it yourself. Here's how I do it.

  7. Cod liver oil. Daily.

  8. Make your own smoothies.

  9. Open the hood of LLMs. Start with this visualisation, then build GPT-2 yourself with nanochat.

  10. Start your own company. It's probably the hardest thing you'll do career-wise.
