A growing list of advice I would have given my past self. Not in any particular order, except the first one.
Be kind. Always.
Be careful who you take advice from.
Even if you're "not good at it", take maths to at least real analysis. It changes how you think about the world.
Watch Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen). Wear sunscreen.
Master ice climbing. It is the final frontier in navigating all terrain. And after it, everything in life feels like a walk in the park.
Don't rely on Big Granola. Make it yourself. Here's how I do it.
Cod liver oil. Daily.
Open the hood of LLMs and understand how transformers work. A great starting point is this visualisation. Then implement GPT-2 yourself following the nanochat instructions. Look at what you just built (and how tiny it is compared to the others here). Great job! Now go ice climbing. You deserve it.
